8/21 – Sam Lucey’s “Warm and Unsettled” Thursday Evening Forecast

After the storms move out, tonight will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a few stray showers and thunderstorms after 4 a.m. and lows dropping to the low and mid 70s.

Friday brings a higher chance of storms, especially after lunchtime, with highs near 90. Some heavy downpours are possible, leading to rain totals from a quarter to half an inch except in stronger thunderstorms. Skies clear out a bit Friday night, and lows dip back into the mid 70s again.

Saturday looks similar, with storms likely in the afternoon and highs near 90. Storm chances taper off Saturday night, with partly cloudy skies and lows in the low 70s.

Sunday will be warm and partly sunny with scattered storms possible by the mid and late afternoon, and highs near 92. Overnight lows stay near 73.

Early next week looks quieter, with partly sunny skies Monday and Tuesday, and just a slight chance of a stray afternoon storm ahead of our next cold front. Highs stay in the low 90s, with lows in the low to mid 70s. By Wednesday, storm chances return with highs in the upper 80s.
