Facility upgrades at Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA in Ocean Springs

Gym attendance is almost what it was like a year ago at the Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA in Ocean Springs.

Last year, the YMCA experienced record low attendance as most gyms did throughout the pandemic due to closures and restrictions.

As they’re getting back to normal, they’re thrilled to show their members how much they appreciate them by upgrading their facility.

The YMCA is adding new state-of-the-art cardio equipment. The new equipment that will be added includes eight pre-core treadmills, five elliptical machines, and two curve self-propelled treadmills.

The new equipment will be available to members by August. YMCA Membership and Marketing Director Amanda Ray said, “Well, it was definitely time to go ahead and upgrade our equipment and right now with the membership and the gym booming and coming back to it was pre-COVID. It was definitely time to show some appreciation to our members and give them some high quality, brand new equipment.”
