Non-Casino Amenities Growing on the Coast
Since Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Coast, the Gulf has been rebuilding with not only new casinos but also activities for the whole family.
From the new Margaritaville Resort Biloxi to recently released plans for the Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport, plans for these new businesses have been released in the last several months. They all hope to make the Coast a destination for people of all ages.
Pinnacle Entertainment CEO Anthony Sanfilippo tells News 25 it’s pivotal for these places to join forces with casinos to make the Coast the place to be. “We want to attract people to the area that will enjoy the area. So things that are apart from the casino, whether it’s the miniature golf course that is terrific, that will be hosting events by the Scarlet Pearl. Restaurants, other forms of entertainment, they’re very important to the success of any market that gaming is in.”
Pinnacle Entertainment used to own the Casino Magic, the same property being converted into Margaritaville Biloxi.
