Alligator spotted at Gautier Elementary School

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- Quite the sight Tuesday morning at Gautier Elementary as parents were dropping their kids off at school!

A large alligator was spotted hanging out on campus, right underneath the Gautier Elementary fence sign.

Gautier Mayor Casey Vaughan even went out for a photo-op with the big guy.

Gautier police were called out to make sure students, parents, and staff remained safe while animal control workers removed the gator from campus.
