‘We get people in here regularly:’ how Hope Thrift in Picayune helps animals in need

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV) — Anytime you walk in Hope Thrift in Picayune, you’re sure to see customers browsing the sections of goods and stopping by the cash register with a few prized finds.

What you might not know is that every dime spent goes to help shelter pets at the Pearl River County SPCA.

The store has grown exponentially throughout the years, and now occupies a 3,500 square foot storefront on the city’s Frontage Road. It’s furnished with items donated by community members who want to give back to animals in need.
