37th annual OLG Crab Fest

Seafood, live music, and family fun were some of the things that took place at the 37th annual OLG Crab Fest in Bay St. Louis Saturday.

The Crab Fest took place from July 1st to July 3rd from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. There was all of the best boiled seafood from shrimp to crab and festgoers could also listen to live music as they enjoyed their delicious seafood, along with fair rides for the kids.

There was something for everyone as many vendors were also on the scene. Despite the rain, the turnout was still a good one. Crab Fest Cook Gary Ponthieux Sr. said, “We’re having a wonderful time here today at the Crab fest. It’s our 37th year. Been running strong all the time. The crowds are great, everybody’s looking good. The weather is not bothering us at all, we may have a few raindrops here and there, but overall, we’re having a great time! This is something that’s long needed the people have been waiting for a day like today. You know, after Covid and everything has settled down people are ready to get out and enjoy themselves and have a good time.”

Desserts were also a crowd favorite as funnel cakes, snowballs, cotton candy, and a variety of homemade treats were made available.
