Tanker explosion in Hattiesburg caught on cam

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WXXV)- An 18-wheeler exploded in a huge fireball on I-59 in Hattiesburg Sunday and the explosion was caught on camera.

The 18-wheeler had been involved in a multi-vehicle accident when a massive ball of fire erupted from the truck.

First responders already on the scene weren’t hurt, and there were no injuries reported from the collision.

There’s been no information provided about the cause of the fire. The truck wasn’t carrying any type of flammable liquid, and the fire didn’t start in the trailer.

The explosion came from the front of the truck near the engine.
