Applications opening for 2025 Wild Hog Control Program

The Mississippi Agriculture Commissioner announced applications for the state’s wild hog control program open this Friday.

The applications will be open from August 1 and remain open until August 15. All counties are eligible for the application period.

The state department of agriculture provides traps to landowners and managers for the control of wild hogs on private and forestry lands.

Training is also provided to use the traps and technical guidance.
