Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport cuts ribbon for third t-hangar

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — Wednesday marked a milestone for Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, as officials cut the ribbon for its third t-hangar.

This expands the facility’s general aviation area, which already includes fixed base operator Million Air and a corporate hangar. The t-hangar has eight bays for private planes, bringing the total number of t-hangar bays in the airport to 24. These new bays are expected to be filled by September 1st.

The completion of the t-hangar was partially funded by the Mississippi Department of Transportation through the Mississippi Multimodal Transportation Improvement Program.

WXXV News 25’s Elizabeth Keen spoke with officials at the ribbon cutting, who shared more on this new addition and the opportunities it will provide both now and in the future.
