Generous donors sponsor beds at Home of Grace for one year

VANCLEAVE, Miss. (WXXV) — The Home of Grace, a faith-based addiction recovery program in Vancleave, is launching a new initiative thanks to generous donors who have sponsored beds for an entire year.

Donations from Todd Trenchard and the Butch Oustalet Foundation are going directly toward helping those struggling with substance abuse and seeking recovery on the Gulf Coast. The Home of Grace provides faith-based treatment, life skills and job readiness training, and even GED classes to those in recovery, giving them the tools they need to make positive changes.

The Open Doors Coalition has been vetting those within the unhoused community who are struggling with substance abuse to find men and women who are ready to accept help to get back on the right path.

Executive Director Josh Barton says those men and women will get help from the Home of Grace free of charge for the duration of their stays at the facility.

The facility has seen hundreds of success stories, and this year is celebrating its 60th anniversary of helping those struggling with addiction.

Todd Trenchard, a Home of Grace alum, says the program hits close to home. He was inspired to offer support to others through his donation because of his own personal experience in the program. He hopes to grow the program further, challenging other donors to continue supporting the Home of Grace in its fight for freedom from addiction.

If you or a loved one need support in your journey to recovery, submit an application online at HomeofGrace.org.
