“Brain Drain” affecting Mississippi’s economy and workforce
Mississippi (WXXV)- Mississippi is losing many of its brightest young adults. They are chasing higher pay, better job prospects and opportunities they say they can’t find at home.
It’s a long-running trend known as the “brain drain,” it’s taking a toll on the state’s economy and workforce.
Morgan Gill with the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center spoke with two students whose decisions reflect opposite sides of this issue and the efforts underway to bring more young people back.
