Fourth of July designated as ‘Free Fishing Day’

South Mississippi (WXXV)- The Fourth of July has been designated a free fishing day.

All Mississippi residents are allowed to sport fish without a license, permits are still needed if you want to fish at a state-owned lake.

This is only in effect for the Fourth of July and does not go into the weekend.
