Accepting proposals for GOMESA projects

The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is now accepting proposals for projects that could receive GOMESA funds.

All proposals must be submitted to the agency by Tuesday, September 30.

Proposals are restricted to projects in Hancock, Harrison, or Jackson counties.

Criteria include coastal protection, conservation, restoration, and much more.

If you’ve previously submitted an idea, those are still in the portal and need to be resubmitted only if changes are made.

Applications can be submitted through the GOMEAS portal at the Department of Marine Resources website.
