Three Pass Christian Track and Field stars are taking their talents to the next level!
Over in the city of Pass Christian, the Pirates are celebrating three track and field athletes taking their talents to the next level. The Pass is celebrating the signing of Maleygh Acker, Tristin Jones, and former WXXV Student Athlete of the Week, Anaya Bradley.
Both Bradley and Acker were on the 4 by 100 relay team that set a new state record this year, and Jones was a part of the 4 by 400 relay and 4 by 8 relay that also set state records. Bradley and Jones are taking their cleats to Meridian Community College, while Acker joins owls at the Mississippi University for Women.
“I’m proud of myself because honestly I didn’t think I would get to run collegiately, but I just kept God first and prayed about it and I’m going to the next level,” said Acker.
“It means the goals I set, I achieved them, and I just have to make more to keep achieving those,’ said Bradley. “I’m very proud of making it this far and getting this amazing opportunity to keep running.”
“I just love it,” said Jones. “Every time I go on the track it’s just a whole new world and I just get addicted to it. I look forward to it every time and it’s just something I am happy about doing.”
Congratulation again to Anayna, Triston, and Maleygh!
