Hippie Fish Hosts Hiring Event Ahead of Summer Opening at Centennial Plaza

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — A brand-new family entertainment center is making its way to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and they’re hiring now.

Hippie Fish, a vibrant new venue blending mini golf, arcade games, and dining, is set to open at Centennial Plaza in early summer 2025. Before the doors open, the team is hosting an on-site hiring fair to fill several positions.

“So, today and tomorrow we are having a hiring event,” said Tessy Lambert, Chief Marketing Officer for Lodging & Leisure Investments. “We will be on property doing in-person interviews today until three and tomorrow from 11 to six. We have several open positions available. We’re looking for… food and beverage team. We’re looking for bartenders, line cooks, um, servers, all of that.”

Once open, Hippie Fish will feature two 18-hole mini golf courses designed under historic oak trees, a 130-game indoor arcade, and a full-service restaurant and bar serving local favorites. The venue promises a laid-back, coastal atmosphere open to all visitors, not just resort guests.

“We’ve been dreaming of bringing this to Centennial Plaza Resort for such a long time,” Lambert said. “These aren’t your average mini golf courses… there’s one that’s a little easier, and a blue course for guests who want a real challenge. You can see all of the water entrapments — it’ll be a little bit of a challenge for some.”

The arcade and restaurant inside the complex will offer classic and modern experiences for all ages, making Hippie Fish a perfect spot for families, couples, group outings, or day trips.

“We are so excited to bring this to the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” Lambert added.

The hiring event continues Wednesday, May 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Centennial Plaza in Gulfport.
