Poplarville Hornets receive state championship rings

POPLARVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- Good things come to those who wait as the Poplarville football team hosted their end of the year banquet and celebrated their first-ever State Championship title.

The Hornets hosted their 2024 football banquet at the Brownstone on the Pearl River Community College where players, coaches, and loved ones celebrated their successful and historic season on the gridiron.

It was a great evening highlighting every individual athlete and their outstanding accomplishments.

The highlight of the night was something the team has waited months for and for some their whole lives for.

The Poplarville Hornets have officially received their state championship rings!
