D’Iberville’s Taste of the Bay

Nobody who went to Taste of the Bay in D’Iberville left with an empty stomach.
Dozens of booths featuring drinks and some of the finest food from all over the area filled the porch at the town green in D’Iberville. Taste of the Bay was put on by the D’Iberville and St. Martin Area Chamber of Commerce. From fine wines to desserts to fresh seafood, the event was meant to show off what these Coast restaurants have to offer. The chamber board director tells News 25 the money collected from the tickets will go to the chamber. Some of it is used towards scholarships, local businesses and the community. Stephanie Dambrino with the D’Iberville-St. Martin Area Chamber of Commerce said, “The restaurants are from here in D’Iberville and the Bay Area. Lots of good food, lots of good drinks, that way you get to come and taste it before you go there.”
Taste of the Bay was put on in a bistro setting to encourage mingling. Soft live jazz music played in the background from a local artist.
