Gautier man sentenced to 20 years for sex crimes involving a minor
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A Gautier man will spend two decades behind bars on sex crimes charges involving a minor.
Twenty-three-year-old Josemany Francois will serve 20 years in MDOC custody without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to sexual battery and touching of a child for lustful purposes in a Pascagoula courtroom.
This case dates back to February 2021 when Francois was 18 and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old who became pregnant as a result of the assault.
Francois also faces similar charges in Hancock and Harrison counties with unrelated victims.
He still faces legal proceedings in these cases on top of the sentence he just received.
