State Supreme Court sets execution date for man sentenced in murder of Gulfport banker’s wife

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-The Mississippi Supreme Court has issued an order setting an execution date for Richard Gerald Jordan.

That date is set for June 25, 2025.

Jordan is facing the death sentence for the 1976 capital murder and kidnapping of Edwina Marter, a Coast banker’s wife.
