Jimmy’s Journey Cancer Foundation
Cancer can take a toll not only on the person going through it, but their family as well. That’s why Susan Kulick started Jimmy’s Journey Cancer Foundation after losing her husband to sarcoma in 2015.
The nonprofit helps families get away from cancer by granting wishes, funding trips for them to enjoy time together or to just help pay the bills. Tomorrow, Jimmy’s Journey is hosting a designer handbag bingo and wine grab fundraiser so they can help more families in crisis.
Kulick tells News 25 she’ll never forget how kind others were to her when she was the one in need. “It’s a blessing to know that there’s somebody out there that if you do need something, we were in the end needing help paying our bills and someone would pay our electric bill or our phone bill just so that would be one thing we wouldn’t have to worry about for that month at least.”
Doors for the fundraiser open at 6 at the Ocean Springs Civic Center. It’s $30 for ten rounds of bingo.
