William Carey University announces milestones for osteopathic medicine program
Hattiesburg, Miss. (WXXV)- Officials with William Carey University announce major milestones for the university’s osteopathic medicine program.
According to an assessment by U.S. News and World Report, William Carey’s College of Osteopathic Medicine has been ranked third in the nation for placing graduates in primary care residence, fourth in the nation for placing graduates in underserved areas, and 7th in the nation for placing graduates in rural areas.
These rankings come as the school continues construction in its Institute for Primary Care, a facility which will bring state-of-the-art equipment and new space for the program.
This is the fourth year in a row the U.S. News and World Report has given the university’s osteopathic medicine program high marks in its rankings.
