Governor Reeves holds press conference on potential special session
JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV)-Governor Tate Reeves held a press conference this afternoon.
He spoke about the storms from last night as well as the state’s economic growth in 2024. One subject stood out, that being if a special session will be called.
The House adjourned earlier this week with Governor Reeves saying this is the third time this has happened since he’s been in office.
The subject being a $7 billion budget for the upcoming fiscal year which starts July 1.
Governor Reeves said he is not sure what items would be discussed in a special session.
