MDOT warns of toll scam

MISSISSIPPI, (WXXV)-The Mississippi Department of Transportation is warning residents of a new text scam.

A text is being sent out telling residents they having an outstanding toll fee. Mississippi has no toll roads and the department does not collect for other states.

Another way to tell if it is a scam, MDOT does not refer to themselves as ‘MS-DOT.’
