Chandy Fest returns to the Coast
Chandy Fest was canceled last year due to COVID-19, but on Saturday, many flocked to Chandeleur Island Brewing Company for the return of the popular event.
The brewery debuted four new select brews just for the event.
The festival featured food vendors, clothing vendors, craft vendors, and plenty of beer, along with live music and even costume contests for our furry friends.
Chandeleur Island Brewing Company Sales Manager Gina Prater tells News 25 it is a great way to celebrate the company’s anniversary and teach people about beer brewing. “So, community, conservation, education, we are teaching people all about great beers from across the whole world. We get to brew them. We get to share them. Again, it’s gives us an excuse to bring our whole family. I told the team earlier, it’s like you have invited them into your home, treat everyone like you have invited them in for a big party and treat them like you would if you were at your own house.”
Chandy Fest also included a fundraising bed race and all the money raised from that goes to the winner’s nonprofit of choice.
