Ohr-O’Keefe holding ‘Catwalk under the Oaks’ Spring Gala at IP Casino Resort
Friday at 6 p.m. the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art is hosting a spring gala ‘Catwalk under the Oaks,’ a high-end fashion show where industrial chic meets contemporary art.
The event will feature elaborate headdresses from local florist the French Potager, based out of Bay St. Louis, and fashions from NYC designer Sariah Park.
Projections from visual, indigenous Artist Mona Cliff will also be featured with live music from Jazz Violinist Michael Ward, alongside live auctions and awards for best-dressed attendees. Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art Director of Development Brenda Blount said, “So, this is our coming out party. We are considering it the Ohr’s coming out party since we haven’t been able to do anything in 2020. This is our first major fundraiser for 2021. We are raising funds to give 12 scholarships for our summer art camp which is performance arts this year. We are super excited.”
The fashion show will take place Friday at the IP Casino Resort and Spa Studio B starting at 6 p.m. To purchase a ticket visit georgeohr.org.
