05/18 – Brantly’s “Rainy” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Heavy rain activity continues over Louisiana with some of the showers and storms breaking away and moving through South Mississippi.

A broad region of unstable air will interact with a plume of deep tropical moisture, feeding into the area to produce periods of shower and thunderstorm activity. The main band of heavy rainfall should shift back to the west toward Texas by Wednesday afternoon.

Current temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s, with spots at the immediate coast in the lower 70s. Highs today will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s. Lows Tuesday night continue to range in the mid to upper 60s inland to around 70 degrees near the coast. Highs on Wednesday will then trend warmer, in the lower to mid 80s across South Mississippi.
