Red Letter Day For Biloxi Fire Dept

Today is a big day for the City Of Biloxi’s Fire Department and it means just as much for its residents.

It’s a Red-Letter Day for The Biloxi Fire Department, a day they can finally put more boots on the ground to better help those they serve.

A federal $1.4 million grant pays the salary of 12 firefighters for the next two years.

Those fire fighters will increase number of people able to be dispatched to fires in the city.

It will also allow a ladder truck that was once non-operational to be finally be put to use due to more man power.

Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney says the grant allows them to be one of the best fire stations in the nation but more importantly its help them better protect the city.
