Gulfport Police Seeking Murder Suspect
The Gulfport Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 20-year-old Jaquarius Shields on the charge of murder.
On April 9th, police responded to a shooting at the Dolan Commons Apartments. When officers arrived they located an adult male victim in the parking lot who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
Police say Shields and the victim were in an argument when Shields pulled out a gun and shot the victim. He then fled the scene in a vehicle.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died of his gunshot wound.
