Hancock County Sheriff’s Department answers questions about domestic violence

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department recently released its first video in a series dedicated to answering the public’s questions about domestic violence.

In this online series called ‘Break the Silence,’ Hancock County’s Domestic Violence Investigator Phil Pham answers questioned submitted by residents.

All questions sent through the link on the department’s Facebook page are anonymous. The department reviews all questions and plans to answer all inquiries related to domestic violence throughout the video series. Pham said, “Every time we have a domestic violence call, the victim and involved parties– even if you’re not a victim– if you’re involved in it, we do have services available through victims’ advocates and non-violence family centers and other community resources that offer counseling. Any kind of family services like relocating victims and what not, but that comes after the initial call.”

If you have any domestic violence related questions you would like answered, questions can be submitted through a link on the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
