CRAWFISH MUSIC FESTIVAL IMPACTS LOCAL BUSINESS

The 28th annual Crawfish Music Festival is two days away.
Local seafood business Bradley’s Cajun Quick Stop is looking forward to tourists and their taste for Mississippi seafood.

At Bradley’s Cajun Quick Stop in Long Beach, it’s been a rough start to crawfish season.
The unpredictable weather changes and hurricanes have driven up the price on crawfish from local fisheries.
Small locally owned businesses like Bradley’s are hoping for tourist to invest in their business and boost sales as more coastal festivals and events make a come back this summer.

Hope Bradley, Bradley’s Co-Owner:

“I think it’s a good thing, anytime it brings people to the coast, tourism is a great thing for all businesses and really for anyone on the coast. Due to weather, the storm, cold weather, sales have been a little bit lower because the price has been up a little bit so hopefully that will drop soon.”

Last year the Crawfish Music Festival was cancelled due to Covid, but in 2019 over 30,000 people were in attendance.
