Lockout at West Wortham Elementary and Middle School in Harrison County today

There was a lockout at West Wortham Elementary and Middle School today in Harrison County.

The lockout was due to what Principal Dr. Rebecca Ladner tells News 25 was an indirect threat.

According to school officials the person who made the threat does not attend the school.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was notified. The school took action as a precaution in the morning and parents were notified.

Students went home at the normal time.
