MS Power Gives Out Free Energy Efficient Light Bulbs

Mississippi Power is helping customers become energy efficient by handing out free light bulbs.

All week long, Mississippi Power will be giving away energy efficient light bulbs, first come, first serve. The Gulfport payment office ran out Monday morning, giving away more than 4,000 bulbs. Officials say this is just one way the company is encouraging their customers to save energy and money.

Gary Williams, Customer Account Supervisor, says, “Those light bulbs were just a start to the programs we will be offering customers in the future. Those bulbs are 75% more energy efficient then a regular light bulb, and those bulbs last twice as long than a regular light bulb.”
