St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store coming to Ocean Springs
A new thrift store is coming to Ocean Springs. The St. Vincent De Paul will have its grand opening this Thursday at 10 a.m.
Unlike any other thrift store on the Coast, the St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store is created to help the homeless. The thrift store is opening to help fund a homeless shelter for the less fortunate in our community. All the workers in the store are volunteers.
The store in Ocean Springs is just the start. St. Vincent De Paul hopes to have others on the Coast that will help sustain the homeless shelter they’re working hard to create. St. Vincent De Paul President Rob Greuling said, “The plan is that we will have a shelter in three to five years. First we need additional thrift stores which will be developed, this is our first. So, it’s the first opportunity to test our processes to get things up and running so things will run smoother in the future.”
Come out to the grand opening of the thrift store located at 2200 Bienville Blvd in Ocean Springs. The thrift store has partnered with other local organizations for donations and support.
