Fatal pedestrian involved accident in Jackson County

On Monday, March 22, 2021, at approximately 3:43 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on US-90 in Jackson County involving a pedestrian.

A 2011 Mazda 3 driven by Andrew Steinborn, 29, of Moss Point, MS, was traveling westbound on US-90. Lacey E. Poole, 32, of Lucedale, MS was walking across US-90.

The Mazda 3 collided with Lacey E. Poole who received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on scene.

The collision is currently under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
