The Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra is back
The Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra is back and hosted their first event in their new home at the Impact Center located at MGCCC.
The orchestra lost their home at the Saenger Theatre and moved to playing at the First United Methodist Church in Gulfport, but then COVID-19 hit and forced them to cancel all of their shows.
Now they are back and excited to showcase their new home. The orchestra booked Susan Egan, a performer who played the original Belle character from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ on Broadway.
Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra Executive Director Jordan Warren tells News 25 they are grateful to bring music back to the Coast. “Right now, being in this grand hall on the JD campus, we can really tie in being the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra. We have a home. We will be here for as long as this building and we are alive and making music for everybody. We are excited to be here and this is where I feel like we can grow and continue to spread our mission for bringing the love of music to everybody on the Coast.”
The Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra will host Meet the Gulf Coast Symphony feature Fabio Bidini on April 17th. For more information visit their website at gulfcoastsymphony.net.
