Landmass Comedy: a group of local comedians

Among the entertainment performing at the District Green for the Block Party is Landmass Comedy.

Landmass Comedy is a group of local comedians that perform live shows across Mississippi.

They call themselves Landmass Comedy as a way to mock the way the Weather Channel often struggles geographically with the state of Mississippi and its cities during hurricane season.

If you’re interested in supporting or becoming a comedian, Landmass Comedy Owner Krangus Gillespie shares with News 25 how you can get started. “All you gotta do is come to the District on the Alley every Monday which is our open mic there. Then come to the Juke Joint on Tuesday which is our open mic on Tuesday. You got five minutes. I’ll light you at four, come test out your jokes. If you think you are funny, you got it.”

Find Landmass Comedy on Facebook for more information on the group.
