Legacy Park development in Jackson County revised due to lack of funding

After breaking ground on the Legacy Park project in Jackson County just four weeks ago, developers have scaled back the plans.

What was originally supposed to be a multi-use development for retail shopping, restaurants, and healthcare will now only include a Memorial endoscopy facility.

This is due to the Jackson County Board of Supervisors requesting Legacy Park developers to partner with Singing River Health System.

With the two sides unable to reach an agreement, Legacy Park developer Dr. Sati Adlakha says this is a huge loss for the Jackson County community.
