Comeback Coolers hold first winter mission

The local nonprofit Comeback Coolers, based out of Ocean Springs, embarked on their first ever winter mission.

The group is known for providing relief in the form of ice chests with ice cold beer, soft drinks, and goodies to those repairing their homes post-natural disasters like hurricanes.

This past Tuesday they headed to areas around Columbia, Mississippi to aid linemen working through the freezing temperatures to restore power.

They delivered what they call ‘linemen relief buckets’ filled with hand warmers, energy drinks, warm socks, and snacks as well as hot chocolate to lift the linemen’s spirits during these chilly conditions.

If you’re interested in providing a donation or even heading out with the organization on their next mission check out their Facebook page ‘Comeback Coolers.’
