Gulfport Admiral football shines bright on National Signing Day

Heading over to Gulfport high school now as the football team saw eight student-athletes sign.

This Gulfport Admiral class accomplished so much during their time on the gridiron and we are excited to see where their talents take them at the next level. WXXV sports had the chance to speak with two of those football standouts after signing their national letter of intent.

“It really means a lot to me,” Dakoreyon Payton said. “I am an undersized guy and it is very hard for an undersized guy to sign at this level.”

“It means a lot to me but it’s just a stepping stone to where I want to be at the end of the day,” Krisjeohn Burks said. “I am glad that I get to appreciate this day with my guys.”
