Hooters Biloxi Location Closing

It’s the last chance for anyone on the Coast to visit Hooters in Biloxi as the restaurant prepares to close its doors for good this Friday.
The Biloxi Hooters was once a hot spot for business but was rebuilt further up shore after Katrina. Business has dwindled recently with the addition of several beach side eateries popping up along what’s now called Restaurant Row. Biloxi Hooter’s general manager Peter Meleones called a meeting this morning to notify the restaurant’s 25 employees they will have to say goodbye to the Biloxi location. “There’s a restaurant boom going on right now and the pie is being sliced up a lot thinner. We’ve got a store in Gulfport and I think the community would support one Hooters instead of two,” said Meleones.
On the upside, management has guaranteed every employee from the closing Hooters a job at the other Hooters locations in Gulfport and Hattiesburg, restaurants that are still very busy.
