MLK Celebrations starting across the Coast
Here are a few events taking place for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
First up, the New Bethel Church is hosting a gospel explosion. The male chorus will be sharing their gift with music starting at 7 p.m. Friday night.
On Saturday, a youth summit will be held at the D’Iberville Civic Center. That runs from 9 in the morning to 4 p.m. The youth summit will explore ways to create positive change in the community.
Sunday rounds out a few of the events. A gospel program takes place at the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Gulfport. Starting at 3, all are invited to come out for a day of service plus a choir for all to enjoy.
On Monday, in Ocean Springs, the MLK Day I Have a Dream Community Wide Wild Day Celebration takes place from 11 until 4 p.m. at MLK Park.
