Hattiesburg Zoo welcomes two new residents
The Hattiesburg Zoo is welcoming two new residents!
Move-in day was Thursday, staff bringing in two ducks.
The two new feathered friends are a Fulvous Whistling Duck and a Wood Duck.
The Whistling Duck can be identified by her red color and is native to Mexico, South America, and the southern United States.
The Wood Duck is grey and is native to North America.
Those ages being 8 years old and 11 years old respectively.
Both girls join Hattiesburg as part of the Animal Ambassador Program, arriving from Michigan.
They can be found at the exhibit next to the train station.
