Services announced for Gautier student who died

Gautier High School announced a vigil to be held Thursday in honor of Shermarion Miner.

Shermarion died at school on January 9 after suffering a medical emergency at the school’s field house.

The vigil will take place at 5 p.m. January 16 at the Vaughn-Wallace Stadium. Attendees are asked to bring flashlights or use their phones to create a candlelight effect.

Shermarion’s funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. January 19 at the Healer Nation Healing Center on Martin Bluff Road.
