Senator Roger Wicker has been sworn in for his third term.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the capitol earlier today as the 119th Congress began.
Vice President Kamala Harris administered the swearing-in ceremony.
Senator Wicker says he is proud to serve the Magnolia state in this capacity, with it being the greatest honor of his life.
Wicker defeated Democratic opponent Ty Pinkins in the 2024 election.
Wicker announced he will serve on four committees during the 119th Congress: the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee; the Environment and Public Works Committee; the Rules Committee, and the Senate Armed Services Committee, which he will chair.
