MDOT addresses I-10 pothole concerns

WXXV 25’s Jordyn Lassiter reached out to the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) to find out what steps drivers can take to report issues like potholes.

If you spot a pothole on I-10 between County Farm Road and Diamondhead, you can report it at 228-832-0272 or notify your local police department to ensure the issue is addressed quickly.

For drivers whose vehicles sustain damage, you’ll need to file a claim with your car insurance provider. Those steps will look different depending on your car insurance. They’ll then coordinate with the contractor responsible for the construction site to resolve the damage.  Your car insurance company will have to work with the contractor to reach a resolution, so it may be a lengthy process.
