Week 11 Saints Report: Taysom’s three touchdown and 203 all-purpose yards led black and gold to victory

The New Orleans Saints welcomed the Cleveland Browns to the Caesar Superdome on Sunday for some Week 11 action. This is your Saints Report!

Starting in the first quarter, the familiar face of Jameis Winston hands the ball off to Nick Chubb on fourth and one, and the black and gold are all over that one, it’s a huge stop by Demario Davis. Saints in the redzone now, Taysom Hill takes the snap, fakes the handoff to Kamara, instead takes matters into his own hands diving into the endzone and it’s a touchdown for the Saints! Score is 7-6 after the first.

Starting the second, quarterback Derek Carr fakes it off to Karama, he instead rolls left and locates Marquez Valdes-Scantling down field and he puts on the jets taking it 71 yards to the house! The momentum would continue and so did the scoring. With the help of three touchdowns and 203 all purpose yards for Taysom Hill, the Saints won the day on Founders Day 35-14. Here’s what Derek Carr had to say at the podium about Hill’s stellar performance.

“It’s unbelievable,” Derek Carr said. “What he does and what we ask him to do. He’s fullback, lead blocking, on inside zones, ISO’s, playing fullback on a stretch run, then he’s playing tight end then he’s at receiver, then he’s playing quarterback and throwing a football 50 yards down the field, then he’s running with it from quarterback. I turn around and am in a no huddle situation checking play to hand him the ball at running back. Good luck finding someone that can do all those things.”

Good luck indeed, and the Saints get to enjoy the win a little longer than usual as they enter week twelve with a bye. They’ll be back in the dome Sunday, December 1st as they host the Los Angeles Rams.
