Biloxi man found guilty of indecent exposure, filming women in restrooms

It took a Jackson County jury about an hour to convict a Biloxi man of filming women in public restrooms and indecent exposure.

36-year-old Christopher Burdine will be sentenced on December 4.

The case began in 2023 when Jackson County deputies were called to a St. Martin residents about a report of a man who lured high school girls over to his car, where he was masturbating in plain view.

He was arrested on three counts of indecent exposure. His phone also was searched and detectives found videos of women in public restrooms. Two of those videos, it was determined, were from a gas station on Tucker Road.

Burdine, who is considered a habitual offender, will remain in custody until his sentencing, where he faces a possible life sentence without possibility of parole or early release.

“Jackson County and our surrounding communities are safer now that a Jackson County jury held Christopher Burdine accountable for his predatory crimes,” said District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath. “Christopher Burdine is a sexual predator who rode around our community masturbating and preying on young girls as they walked in their neighborhoods after school, some of which had just got off the school bus.

“He also recorded his vile acts of masturbating in front of these girls with his phone. The investigation into these crimes led to the discovery of videos the defendant had made of women, at their most vulnerable, using the restroom at a local gas station. His behavior was escalating, and I am convinced that today’s verdict not only delivered justice to the victims in this case but protected the women and children in our community from becoming his victims in the future.”
