Woman charged with taking money from victim she was caring for

A Harrison County woman faces indictment alleging she took money from a vulnerable adult for her own use.
66-year-old Sandra Bolton was arrested Friday on two counts of embezzlement and two counts of exploitation of a vulnerable person.
She was taken to Harrison County jail and bond has not been set.
The indictment was handed down in September and sealed until Bolton’s arrest on Friday.
According to the indictment, Bolton was charged with exploitation of a vulnerable adult after taking and converting $250 from a woman she was employed to serve as the victim’s guardian and conservator.
She was charged with two counts because money was taken from two different accounts belonging to the victim.
She also was charged with two counts of embezzlement for taking the money from the victim’s accounts.
