Oyster season begins on November 13th

The oyster season in Mississippi will be opening in just 2 weeks, the legal beginning at sunrise on November 13th.

Oyster season in the specified waters will be limited to a max of 10 harvest days.

Harvest limits are also set at 10 sacks per vessel.

All creational harvest is limited to three sacks per licensed residents in a 7 day period.

The Department of Marine Resources will have check stations at the Pass Christian Harbor and Bayou Caddy.

All fishermen must check in prior to harvest at those locations.
