Students at Harper McCaughan Elementary School hosting a mock presidential debate.

Two students dressed up as former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Even a few third party candidates such as Cornell West made their appearance.

“I learned how to play a role in our country and I learned more about our country,” said Sawyer Bennett, representing Donald Trump. “I feel like every kid should be involved in our country, knowing what’s going on around them because your leader is going to stick with you for four years. That means they’ll be with you a long time, every vote matters.”

“It felt amazing, I loved being a role model, explaining what we’re trying to do. It felt amazing, I loved doing it,” said Skyler Peler, representing Kamala Harris. “I think it’s important to vote so you can get your peace out and who you want to be president. You can know and get involved with the government.”
